Arrangements for Children
We advise on private law cases such as contact, residence, parental responsibility and change of name of a child. These can be very emotional times and our experienced staff are there to help.
Co-Habitation.
This is a very complicated area of law made easy by our solicitors. There is no such thing as a common law marriage and most of the law is governed by cases which have been decided in the higher courts of this jurisdiction.
Financial Matters
The financial issues relating to divorce, co-habitation and children can be expensive but are always dealt with using the conciliatory approach adopted by Resolution, and with the assistance, where appropriate, of mediation as an alternative to Court proceedings.
Pre-Nuptial and Cohabitation Agreements
Although drawing up an agreement before marriage or cohabitation may not seem a particularly romantic idea, it is often better to have an agreement on these matters in advance as in the long run, a Pre-Nuptial or Cohabitation Agreement could save an acrimonious and expensive court dispute.
