Personal Injury
A personal injury can include an injury at work or as a result of a road traffic accident, an injury received as a result of faulty goods or services, tripping or slipping, an injury caused by errors in medical treatment ,or one sustained by the victim of a criminal act. In all cases, we are able to advise on the most appropriate remedy, which usually involves seeking compensation.
There are two ways of seeking compensation in all cases other than injuries sustained in the course of a crime, taking legal action against the person or body responsible might be required, but we always try, if at all possible, to settle claims without the need for Court action.
We are able to advise on the strength of the proposed claim at an initial free assessment and interview. We are able to conduct actions under a Conditional Fee Agreement, often referred to as 'no win, no fee' agreements. Unlike most claim handling companies who advertise in newspapers or on TV, we make no deductions from any compensation recovered. Compensation can be for the injury you receive (pain and suffering) and also any out of pocket expenses which can include loss of earnings and the cost of hiring and/or repairing a car.
If you sustain an injury as a result of a criminal act by another person, it may be possible to claim compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority. We can advise on the procedure and conduct the claim for you.
